How does fracking impact diverse populations? Why should city residents care? How does the fracking issue relate to the pressing needs and concerns of working men and women or communities of color? The movement to ban fracking in New York has received great media coverage and won important delays. But to ultimately ban fracking, we will need new, more creative tactics and a willingness to reach out and work with a wider, more diverse community. In this session we will review the current status of the campaign; discuss some of our biggest challenges; and make a commitment to specific new tactics that will move us forward.
